Every child of God will have to endure trials of suffering and betrayal if they will be mightily used by God. God will allow us to experience these afflictions and use them as a doorway into fellowship with Him so that we are conformable to the death of Jesus Christ. When we are betrayed it is a pain like no other. The devil will do his best to keep us behind the gates of betrayal so that we keep a distance from people and vow never to trust again. We know we are passing through these gates when we choose to forgive and begin to have a strong desire to be reconciled with our betrayer. We will come to a place of understanding that God has been in control all along and the life of Christ that is imparted into us through this experience will become provision for someone else.

Before we surrendered our lives to Christ we were dead in our sin. The only way to be free from this sin is to die to our old way of living. Jesus Christ died for us and when we came to Christ we were baptized in this death. The Bible says, "He that is dead in Christ is free from the dominion of sin." The evidence of this death is that we are not controlled by sin any longer. It doesn't mean we don't have struggles or failures, it means that these things no longer govern our lives. From the time we are born again our whole life is about the funeral of our old nature and the birth of the new man that God is making us to be. The true Christian spends their whole life preaching their own funeral.

The devil will attempt to convince us that we have gone too far and we have sinned our way outside of the love of God. All these temptations are common to man and God will be FAITHFUL to bring us out. There is a sovereign move of God coming to the church of Jesus Christ and He will open up our hearts to the truth of His Word. Our enemies will be put to shame. They will leave suddenly and will not be able to fulfill the assignment they have over your life.

There is a trial that comes to a believer from the hand of God Himself. These are trials appointed by God so he can move us from goodness to greatness. We might be led into a cave because of an unrighteous pursuit. It is in this cave that we learn not to move out in our own defense but we wait on the Lord to act on our behalf. We cannot deliver ourselves from the dealings of God. We must wait for His deliverance and wait for God to remove all our enemies. As we wait, He will sow strength, endurance, and a greatness that will enlarge our heart to be an influence to those around us.

There is a Judas church that has a spirit of murmuring and complaining. This type of sinner has a compromised compassion, allows Jesus to wash their feet and not their heart and has an unworthy worship to God. It’s a heart that becomes penitent and the end result is sin and death. There is a Peter church and these sinners stumble and fall but they get back up in true repentance having a godly sorrow for their sin. These sinners cry out to God in their fear and doubt and get the victory because they walk close to the Cross of Jesus Christ with a broken spirit and a contrite heart.

God is calling us into intimacy with Him. He desires to give us His heart so that we will become one with Him in purpose and prayer. Those who are intimate with Jesus will be strengthened by His peace. There is nothing more potent to destroy pride, murmuring, complaining and deception than the presence of Jesus. God is jealous for His Name and His Glory so He will destroy the works of darkness and there will be Peace in the House of the Lord.

If we are willing to build on the true foundation of Jesus Christ there is a reward of a hidden wisdom of knowledge and instruction. Jesus will come and burn in us with a fiery jealousy; He will consume everything that is not like Him. This fire is an inner passion born of the life of Christ within us. It’s a fire that is always gathering and burning that which does not conform to the image of Christ within us. Jesus will try our works everyday by fire constantly changing and challenging and taking those things that are unlike Him and burning them in the fire of His passionate love for us.

God promises to give us strength and a supernatural ability to patiently endure every trial we face. As we walk with Jesus we will begin to mature in His love and wisdom. The wisdom that God imparts to us is the wisdom of Christ that enables us to understand what He has done on the cross for us so we can stand by faith alone. This is the message we carry everywhere we go - Christ in us our Hope of Glory.

What is the difference between a person who will be missed and a person who will be mourned? A person who will be missed has occupied a place that is visible to others. He or she may have been involved in what is considered good and high profile causes but in the context of Christ these activities could possibly have left them very far from the heart of God and the struggles of the people. A person who will be mourned has allowed the immeasurable supply of Christ's life through poured in us and through us onto the person God has placed before us. It is not the multitudes that we minister to or how big our ministry is, it is the ability we have in Christ to hear and respond to the cry of the one.

There is within the heart of every believer a super-natural strength. Often that strength is unrecognized and untapped. Once we learn how to loosen that strength, the impossible becomes common place.
