The Good News in Modern Culture

A gospel message that spans generations and trends

Listen to podcast audio:

The American church caught a glimpse of what revival might look like at Asbury in 2023. What would we be willing to do in order to see revival spread across our country? In this episode, Gary Wilkerson is joined again by Matt Brown to talk about a vision for revival in the United States. Even more importantly, what would the modern church need to do or see changed in order to really see an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on this generation?

Key Points from the Podcast

•  Sometimes a single sentence or even a single word of encouragement can impact someone who needs it and redirect their life. As believers, we have to keep getting the Word of God out into the world.

•  God’s work in one person’s life can filter down through multiple generations within our families but also in the lives of people around us.

•  God seems to be calling the young generation to himself in a powerful way that could be a historic revival. We witnessed a hint about this at the Asbury Outpouring in 2023. Many of the events have more people attending than the Jesus Movement saw even at its height.

•  Hearing about revivals that never happen can become discouraging to our faith, but we do need to consistently desire for God to move and draw people’s hearts to himself. We must constantly turn to God and ask him to spark in us a new hope and passion to see his revival.

•  Prayer and fasting have a unique ability to tune our spirits to the Holy Spirit. It puts our priorities into stark relief where we desire God’s presence so greatly that we’ll give up food.
