At the end of the day, there is one question that matters most: Have you been born again? This week, Times Square Church Pastor Tim Dilena joins Gary Wilkerson to look at the way we discuss salvation in church and how Christians can be well-equipped to share their faith.

Key Points from the Podcast

  • Tim Dilena shares a story from his early days of ministry when Gary Wilkerson inspired him to share the gospel even with those we may want to naturally avoid.

  • Jacob Aranza, D.L. Moody, and Charles Spurgeon inspired Tim Dilena to conclude every church service sharing the gospel and inviting people to be born-again.

  • Not every church attender or person who says they’re a Christian has been born-again.

  • Intentionality and consistency are key to creating a culture of sharing the gospel and inviting people to be born-again.

  • Being born-again is as simple as ABC—admit you’re a sinner, believe that God sent Jesus to take away your sins, and confess Jesus as Lord.

  • It is not a failure if you share the gospel with someone, but they don’t repent. You’re planting seeds and helping move them one step closer to salvation.

  • Sharing stories and testimonies of people being born-again can encourage Christians to share the gospel with others.
