The Rise or Demise of a Nation - Part 2

The Wearing Down of the Saints

Listen to podcast audio:

Whether it happens through the world, Satan or even our own human nature, the church is constantly being worn down. We should expect this, but we should not accept it. Christians cannot allow our love for Christ to be overthrown.

Key Points from the Podcast

  • In the book of Daniel, we see that a tactic of the Antichrist will be to persecute, or wear down, the saints.

  • The spirit of the Antichrist is both coming and already in the world.

  • There are three main avenues that the antichrist spirit uses to wear down followers of Christ: the world, our own flesh, and Satan.

  • Our fast-paced culture of technology can exhaust us as we try to keep up with everything.

  • Even John the Baptist, through times of persecution, started to feel worn down and doubt that Jesus was the Christ.

  • If we want to endure in these last days, we must read, study, and meditate upon the Word of God daily.

  • There may be times when Satan will influence others, even those who call themselves Christians, to deceive and lead followers of Christ astray.
