Where there is brokenness, only God can bring total restoration. This week, John Bailey and Mark Renfroe talk about the process of healing and how God can help us to come back stronger from our failures.

Key Points from the Podcast

  • John Bailey shares his own story of brokenness and restoration—raised in a dysfunctional family, parents and in-laws who have 13 marriages between them, giving his life to Christ in jail.

  • There will be moments of healing and breakthrough, but we are all continually in the process of being restored from our brokenness.

  • John shares a testimony of a couple who both had affairs, initially doubted God’s ability to restore their marriage, but are now happily married and serving in the church.

  • God is more than able to restore any situation, no matter how hopeless things may seem, but he is looking for people who will believe him and cooperate with him.

  • When God restores a situation, the result is even better than it was before the brokenness.

  • Moving forward into restoration will require letting go of past brokenness.

  • The greatest sin is unbelief.

  • Jesus went to the lepers, the sick, the lame and the woman caught in adultery and brought restoration to their brokenness.
