The Bible declares that God is a righteous judge, but there is a movement in the church today to do away with this truth. Gary Wilkerson and guest Keith Holloway challenge us not to diminish any of God’s attributes—even the ones we may not like. If we truly understand who God is, then we can actually praise and thank God for his judgments.

Key Points from the Podcast

• We must have a high view of God that esteems all of God’s attributes. A low view of God will diminish or dismiss certain attributes of God causing us not to know God fully.
• In the church today, there is a movement to downplay the judgment of God in order to make him more accepted by society.
• God’s judgment is not always against wicked things, but he also judges that something is righteous and good.
• If we are to understand God’s judgments correctly, we must first understand who he is.
• We can praise and thank God for his judgments because they are true, right and just.
• If you separate God into God of the Old Testament and God of the New Testament you end up with two incorrect and incomplete views of God.
• God’s judgments reveal four things to us: his character, our character, our need for a redeemer, and the final judgment to come.
• The ultimate demonstration of God’s judgment was the wrath of God poured out upon Christ on the cross.
