We often find sins in our lives that we justify as okay, the "little, white lies" that are condoned by secular culture and excused or ignored by many Christians. What if these "small" sins have a much more serious impact than we could ever imagine? This week, Pastor Carter Conlon talks about rooting out the little weeds in our spiritual lives.

God’s people are meant to be a light and blessing to the world. Even the darkest, most entrenched parts of society can be overcome by faith as small as mustard seed. All God needed to overturn pervasive culture in the book of Acts was 120 common, ordinary people who were willing to let their hearts be overcome by the Holy Spirit. In this passionate exhortation, Pastor Carter reminds Christians that we are called to live for the benefit of others.

As Christians, we are constantly in combat with a world that is out of touch with God and uses religion to offer wealth, status and power. Through the act of washing the disciples feet, Jesus showed a way of thinking that would change our lives forever. This way of servanthood led Jesus to the cross and is considered greatness with God. If we are willing to yield our lives and become servants like Jesus we can have true power and impact the world around us for eternity.

Many in churches across America are setting their hearts on false hopes—seeking to bypass holy to get to happy. If we are willing to see life as God sees it, real change can happen in our lives. God takes those struggling vessels with honest hearts on a journey they will never regret. We will make mistakes along the way, but a cry of “Abba, Father” will rise from our heart as we look to God’s promises with hope for change.

There is something about a moment in history when the King begins to speak again. As the bride of Christ, we are being trained to exercise spiritual authority for a strategic moment in history. We are to move from trembling in the outer courts and boldly come to the throne of our King. Do we believe we can stand for our families and reach the people in our communities? As Christians we are called to be warriors, yielded for the sake of others so we send out a message that says when God decides to move no one can stand against His power and plan.

Are you in a place of difficulty and trial to the point of exhaustion?

We are called to be a visible expression of who God is to our generation by letting God show His wisdom, power and grace through us. If we are going to honor Christ we must be fully yielded to His will to let Him guide us so that the “desires of Christ” in us might be fulfilled. As we simply behold the victory of Christ we will be enabled to let go of our regrets as well as our successes and we will be empowered to lay hold of God’s divine plan for our life.

You may be in a season where the enemy has come to try to confuse you about your identity in Christ, leaving you to feel undesirable and unloved. It’s not about how you feel about yourself. It’s about how the King feels about you, and He is waiting to hear your voice. It’s the mercy of God that has tied the move of His hand with hearing your voice.
