Is a Lack of Self-Worth at the Root of Your Anxiety?

Those in the church seem to suffer from anxiety every bit as much as those outside it. God’s work of salvation would seem to free us from fear and stress, but instead it often seems to do the exact opposite. This week, Gary explores the deeper reasons many believers struggle with anxiety, despite our faith.

Two Versions of the Future

Rachel Chimits

“Will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily…” (Luke 18:7-8 ESV).

French has two forms of future tense: “l’avenir” and “le futur.”

The first form refers to what will result from people’s actions in the present. The second is more ambiguous and open-ended because there are simply certain turns in future events that cannot be predicted.

James 1:2-4

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Do You Believe God Will See You Through?

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

The most important question facing God’s people in these last days is this: “Do you believe God will see you through? Do you believe he can do all that is necessary to answer your prayers and meet your needs?” This is the same question our Lord asked the two blind men who begged him for mercy and healing. “‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said, ‘Yes, Lord.’ … And their eyes were opened” (Matthew 9:28-30).

Church, It's Time to Get in the Game

Evangelism taps into some Christians’ fears of not being knowledgeable enough or being shamed, but it also isn’t a priority for many others. Once we begin to live in a rhythm of evangelism, we will see incredible blessings.

How to Make Our Faith Grow

Rachel Chimits

We can be told to “just have more faith” or even pray for more faith, but there are also specific steps we can take to help strengthen our faith.

“Faith is on the rise,” reports The Guardian magazine, “and 84% of the global population identifies with a religious group.”
