Philippians 1:6
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

When was the last time you talked about holiness with your small group or heard it taught in church? It's not commonly discussed and yet, why not? Holiness is the power to live a victorious life. It should be your pursuit for all delight and joy in your life.
What might be a reason or obstacle to becoming more like God? Gary discusses one main reason—a low view of God. We're not talking about his fullness; knowing all his attributes. The more we know him, the more we love him. And knowing him begins with more time understanding who he is and spending time in his presence.
What is holiness? Some might attempt to describe it but at the heart, it's an experience. It's one thing to know God but an entirely different thing to experience him. Spend time with God and allow that experience to change you.
Holiness is an essential part to knowing God and when you know him more, you become more like him. It's his holiness that illuminates all of his other attributes and balances out the wrath and judgment. Gary encourages us to get into his presence today and spend some time nurturing intimacy with our Creator.
“It is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy’” (1 Peter 1:16, ESV). There are two elements of Jesus’ life that are meant to be part of our lives too. That is, we are to be holy and anointed. Some Christians might be intimidated when they hear this. “Sure, I live a moral life and I do my best to be godly — but holy? And anointed? How could that happen with all my failures?”
Gary Wilkerson discusses how God’s holiness marries itself to all of his other attributes.
Gary Wilkerson exhorts Christians to study and understand the holiness of God because it will transform your heart and greatly impact every area of your life.
Sam Storms joins Gary Wilkerson to discuss how the holiness of God is much more than we typically attribute to it.
Holy, separated living isn’t preached about much anymore because we fear it might offend and not be visitor-friendly. But when the Spirit starts his work, we will always have a new desire for holiness and a quest for Christlikeness. “As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy’” (1 Peter 14-16).
