Visit Many Good Books But Live in the Bible

There are many wonderful books out there but first and foremost we should be in the Word of God—it is the only source for life and godliness. Although books should not be our first read there are many great writers out there such as Owen, Spurgeon and Wesley, writers of old who share theological truths often left unsaid in todays pulpits and newer books. Gary starts a series on some of his favorite books and authors that can challenge and inspire growth in our faith walk.

Holiness Isn't Popular; It's Powerful

Holiness smacks in the face of popular cultural trends and feel-good teachings. We'd much rather prefer what benefits us than surrendering to God's holy authority. Holiness drives you to your knees in death to self, choosing obedience to Christ rather than self-fulfillment. Which will you choose?

Why Aren't We Talking About Holiness More?

When was the last time you talked about holiness with your small group or heard it taught in church? It's not commonly discussed and yet, why not? Holiness is the power to live a victorious life. It should be your pursuit for all delight and joy in your life.

Why Aren't We Walking in Holiness More?

What might be a reason or obstacle to becoming more like God? Gary discusses one main reason—a low view of God. We're not talking about his fullness; knowing all his attributes. The more we know him, the more we love him. And knowing him begins with more time understanding who he is and spending time in his presence.

What Is Holiness?

What is holiness? Some might attempt to describe it but at the heart, it's an experience. It's one thing to know God but an entirely different thing to experience him. Spend time with God and allow that experience to change you.

The Holiness of God

Holiness is an essential part to knowing God and when you know him more, you become more like him. It's his holiness that illuminates all of his other attributes and balances out the wrath and judgment. Gary encourages us to get into his presence today and spend some time nurturing intimacy with our Creator.

How to Keep the Wins - Part 2

In this follow-up to keeping your wins, Gary shares an analogy of the beautiful aspen tree in his front yard that grows each year. With this, we learn that to hold onto the wins in our life, we must be alive in Christ. To grow in victory you must have deep roots that are fed and nurtured.

How to Keep the Wins, Part 1

How do you maintain seasons of victory? In this episode, Gary shares it will require you wanting it so bad that you'll hold on to the win. Press in and persist for those victories in your life.

Change Through Suffering

Another form of change comes through suffering. While the most difficult, these seasons can certainly refine and restore us. Gary talks about this change we all face at times and the value we can find in them.

Positioning Yourself Before the Lord

How would you like a change in your life? Be open to the Lord through a positioning of yourself, and you can do that through repentance, prayer, and reading the Bible. By this, you will make yourself available to the Lord with a heart willing to turn at His voice.
