The Lord Bless and Keep You

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

I pray diligently over these messages, and while praying about what the Lord would have me write in this one, the Holy Spirit whispered clearly, “Encourage God’s people. Tell them how much they are loved by the Lord and how greatly he delights in his children.”

I believe this is a special word for many reading this message. You need to hear deep within, at this very hour, that the Lord is going to keep you and that he delights in you during your present hour of testing.  Here is the text I believe you need to receive as a personal word from him right now:

Standing at the Lord’s Side

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

There is a text in the original Hebrew that has blessed me greatly, and I want to share it with you. “When designing pursuers approached me, who are far from thy law; then you, O Jehovah, wast near with all thy faithful commandments” (Psalm 119:150-151, Helen Spurrell Translation).

Rejoice in the Lord and Be Glad

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

In the book of Jude, we read of a future day so wicked and vile that God will come with thousands of his saints to execute judgment for all ungodly deeds. Jude prophesied men would be given over to their filthy lusts, becoming mockers, sensual, “foaming up their own shame” (Jude 1:13, NKJV). These would comprise a society of corrupt fornicators going after “strange flesh,” referring to pandemic homosexuality.

Greetings in Christ’s Precious Name

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

Just as I was preparing to write this message, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to me, “Edify the people. Bless them with my Word.” I responded, “Lord, I would love to, but what do you want to say? You must impress deeply upon my spirit the right word for these times.”

Here is what I received from the Lord. I hope you will receive it and be truly edified. Perhaps you are the very one whom God has prepared to receive such a word of encouragement at this particular time.

  • • God desires that you believe what he has spoken to you, especially about healing and guidance.

The Wonderful Name of the Lord

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

I have been meditating for the past few days on Psalms 142 and 143. I was interested in what King David was going through when he said, “When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then you knew my path. In the way in which I walk they have secretly set a snare for me. Look on my right hand and see, for there is no one who acknowledges me; refuge has failed me; no one cares for my soul” (Psalm 142:3-4, NKJV).

David actually cried to the Lord, “Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low… Bring my soul out of prison” (Psalm 142:6-7).

The Peace of God in You

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

A Christian woman approached me recently with a rather emotional expression and asked me if I had heard the latest news report about the upheaval in Pakistan. “Can you believe what is happening?” she asked. “Every day is a bad-news day. Pakistan has nuclear capacity. Terrorists could take over, and some mad Ayatollah could launch us into nuclear war.” Shaking her head, she said, “I am really scared. Things are spinning out of control.”

The One Who Holds the Keys

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

There, right in your face, is a door that seems to be continually locked. This closed door I am speaking about is some issue, situation or need you’ve been praying about for a long time. It may be a crisis that requires nothing less than a miracle. I don’t know what your closed door may be, but you’ve prayed for the door of opportunity to open, yet everything you try seems to fail. The doors simply don’t open.

Hope in Seasons of Suffering

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

I have a message for those who are experiencing a painful, overwhelming situation. I am not speaking to those who now enjoy a time of rest from suffering, who are not in any kind of pain or sorrow. Thank God for those times of quiet rest.

The Love of God Never Fails

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

After reading Psalm 13, I wanted to send you a few words of encouragement that I gleaned from this blessed chapter.

King David penned, “How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily?” (Psalm 13:1-2, NKJV). It sounds as if David felt that God had altogether left him to suffer, to wake up each day with a black cloud hanging over him. For a season, David spoke out of despair, “God, will this feeling of isolation go on forever? When will my prayers be answered?”
