Be sure your sin will find you out! This is one of the most misunderstood statements in all God's Word. Moses is speaking of one particular sin, that being a stubborn refusal to wholly follow the Lord! There are many sins that go unexposed here on earth and will be revealed only at the Judgment. Paul said, "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel" (Romans 2:16). The Greek word used here for secrets is, "that which is hidden, concealed, covered up."
Brothers and sisters — this is the LUKEWARM GENERATION. You don't have to be a theologian to understand we have come to the Laodicean era which Jesus prophesied would arise in the very last days. Simply compare what Jesus said about the lukewarm Laodicean church with what today is called the Church of Jesus Christ. Jesus warns that he who has ears had best listen to what the Holy Ghost is saying about this religious system.
Before the antichrist is revealed, there will be a mystery of lawlessness already at work. The one who is coming will appear after a furious activity of apostasy. Satan and all the powers of darkness will be setting the stage — destroying the faith of many. Because sin will be more rampant, the love of many of God's people will grow very cold. There will be shipwrecked believers on all sides.
The final outcome of the church of Jesus Christ is glorious victory. In the end, the gates of hell shall never prevail against the true church, which is the invisible body of Jesus Christ on earth.
It is supposed to be a glorious church, without a spot or wrinkle, washed and secured by the blood of the Lamb. But anyone with spiritual discernment can readily see that the church of Jesus Christ at this present time is not victorious over sin or the enemy. The sad and pitiful condition of many believers is a great grief to our Lord.
Isaiah 19 contains an astounding prophecy that concerns every lost child of God and every backslider in the world. This chapter contains a dual prophecy, directed both to literal Israel and to spiritual Judah — the church of today. Moffatt's translation brings it out in its most powerful form.

We have developed a distorted view of what corruption really is. Not many Christians understand God's definition of corruption, and few believers would admit they are guilty of it.

According to our theology corruption is alcohol and drug abuse, adultery and fornication, cheating and gambling, promiscuity, homosexuality, murder, rape, incest and other such wicked deeds. We have narrowed down corruption to wild passions and life-controlling lusts.
I want to show you the most tragic man in history. He is not Judas; he is not Herod; he is not even a hater of God. He was a son of David, a king in Jerusalem, and in type the saddest, most pathetic man on earth.
