For more than 50 years, World Challenge has partnered with churches across the globe that share our burden to see impoverished and unreached people experience the fullness of life in Jesus.

As Jesus entered communities 2,000 years ago, he dealt both with people’s spiritual and physical afflictions. We believe the church of today is called to continue Christ's work.
We aim to walk alongside indigenous churches and ministries that are already working in disadvantaged communities. We provide training, mentorship, and financial assistance so they can effectively serve their people in need.
The world needs more churches, even in places where Christianity is firmly established. However, there are people who live completely beyond the reach of the gospel. We’re committed to planting the church among these people.
God has a special place in his heart for the widow and orphan. So do we. We strive to use best practices as we serve widows and orphans around the world, working primarily through local churches.
Disasters come in all shapes and sizes. Some, like wars, are created by people. Others are natural disasters. When these occur, we reach out through our partners to bring relief, serving as the hand and feet of Jesus in these difficult situations.
We are committed to obeying Jesus's commands to care for people's spiritual and material needs. The best way to do this is to share the gospel through near-culture neighbors and to create systems that lead to sustainable personal and community transformation.
Poverty is both spiritual and material. We are committed to serving the least-reached in places where people have been trapped in historic material poverty.
We are committed to making disciples among every people group, and we believe this is best done by planting churches that multiply within a people group and beyond.

Through the Holy Spirit's empowerment and your generous giving, World Challenge is making thousands of new disciples through our global partners. Our goal is to build up discipleship groups and local churches. Because we work where evangelism is often illegal, these churches are similar to those in the book of Acts.
Many countries in this region are run by Muslim governments with restrictive laws against Christianity. Persecution of believers is frequent.
Many pastors are passionate about taking the gospel to their neighbors, but few have formal training or even Bibles in their native language.
In an increasingly secular culture, the opportunity is opening to share the gospel with young people who have never heard the true message of salvation.
Persecution from Buddhist, Hindu, and Muslim majorities here can be deadly. Spiritual oppression is fierce in regions untouched by the gospel.
