ABOUT MISSIONS

OBEYING THE GREAT COMMISSION

World Challenge is planting the church where it doesn’t exist. Where material poverty and spiritual poverty overlap, that’s where we want to serve.

For more than 50 years, World Challenge has partnered with churches across the globe that share our burden to see impoverished and unreached people experience the fullness of life in Jesus.

Will you help us reach the world?

WE ARE COMMITTED TO REACHING UNREACHED PEOPLE AND PLACES

OVERVIEW

As Jesus entered communities 2,000 years ago, he dealt both with people’s spiritual and physical afflictions. We believe the church of today is called to continue Christ's work.

We aim to walk alongside indigenous churches and ministries that are already working in disadvantaged communities. We provide training, mentorship, and financial assistance so they can effectively serve their people in need.

MULTIPLYING AND TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE GOSPEL

Through the Holy Spirit's empowerment and your generous giving, World Challenge is making thousands of new disciples through our global partners. Our goal is to build up discipleship groups and local churches. Because we work where evangelism is often illegal, these churches are similar to those in the book of Acts.

Evangelism Underground

In regions hostile to Christianity, some pay the ultimate price. Being a disciple of Christ in areas of the Muslim World is dangerous. *Salem’s brother knew this when he dedicated his life to Jesus. Salem and his family were devout Muslims, so his brother’s conversion horrified them. Not only had he

To the Ends of the Earth

In one corner of Ghana, our partners reached a Muslim tribe who had not heard the gospel before. World Challenge’s partners in Ghana knew of a nearby tribe, called the Fulani, who were almost exclusively Muslim. This tribe has a rich cultural heritage and a nomadic lifestyle that takes them through
