Suffering people receive the consolation of the Lord. Christ’s voice speaks true comfort to them in their hour of darkness. These sufferers become rich in spiritual resources.
In the past, Christians thought of deliverance mainly as physical healing. However, the greatest deliverance will be from fear as God’s people witness to a shaken world.
If believers only look to our own interests, our testimony will be limited at best. If we look to build others up, though, every God-ordained mission will be amply supported.
Jesus has power to give to those who are totally and fully his. Don’t strive for power. Desire to belong fully, passionately and humbly to the one your heart yearns for, the Lord.
A cry from the heart is the mark of a Holy Spirit church. True believers become so sensitive to the Holy Spirit that they don’t need a prophet to tell them they have sinned.
King David asked the Lord never to leave him, and that mentality of complete surrender is the only way that modern believers can see God’s true power in their lives.
The ‘Solomon’ church seeks knowledge and looks great on the outside, but it is absolutely lifeless inside, and it ends up in emptiness and despair.
What greater gift could God give his church than a convicting message against sin? He will bring such piercing conviction that we will not tolerate anything unholy in ourselves.
Once God’s gift of a spirit of supplication showers down upon believers, we will find ourselves praying for holiness, godliness and purity. This will bring a great awakening!
