God will not begin a new work in his church until he does away with the old: he won’t put new wine into old wineskins, a truth we must keep in mind when we pray for a move of God among his people.
To believe in Christ as our savior, we must believe in miracles where God changes the course of nature. This type of faith is often spoken of in scripture and vital to our walk with God.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t want us to know about him so much as to know about his mission, and that mission is to bring us to Jesus and to keep us in purity and holiness.
We must admit we will starve spiritually and become weak and helpless without returning every single day to God, to hear from the Spirit and absorb his promises.
God wants me to totally believe in him and his power over sin and death. My part is to believe that God will bring me out of the battle victoriously!
Jesus’ resurrection, accompanied by a divine proclamation that he truly was the Son of God, opened the pathway for all to new, abundant life in him.
Believers must stop trying to think our way out of trouble. Instead, we ought to rest in the power of God’s Word and let the Lord put gladness in us today.
The devil sends little foxes into our lives to make us think we’re hopeless and God is mad at us, but we can overcome these temptations and terrible thoughts with prayer.
The Holy Spirit is not received by someone until he is allowed to take full control of our hearts and minds, and this must involve a lifelong practice of submitting ourselves to him.
