    Our teams in Liberia have felt a deep missional calling to the tribes in their area, including the Poro in the village of Wehyeepa. After overcoming many challenges, spiritual revival has sparked in this village, transforming it into a beacon of light to a community that has historically deeply opposed Christianity.

    Being a disciple of Christ in areas of the Muslim World is dangerous. *Salem’s brother knew this when he dedicated his life to Jesus. Salem and his family were devout Muslims, so his brother’s conversion horrified them. Not only had he begun worshipping Christ, but he was also sharing the gospel with others.

    In one corner of Ghana, our partners reached a Muslim tribe who had not heard the gospel before.

    World Challenge’s partners in Ghana knew of a nearby tribe, called the Fulani, who were almost exclusively Muslim. This tribe has a rich cultural heritage and a nomadic lifestyle that takes them through many remote, rural areas. Several leaders on the team had a heart for this tribe, so they began researching the tribe’s customs and values to best speak to their needs.
